Central South District serves a diverse community with diverse staff. We value the many God-given gifts diversity brings to our churches and our community. As part of our ongoing commitment to deepening our understanding of inclusion and fairness, Central South District has engaged in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) education previously. Yet the devastating death of George Floyd at the hands of police and other events of 2020 raised the nation’s awareness about the importance of education that examines root causes and builds our capacity to collectively advance solutions.
Each of us is in a different place in our own personal diversity, equity, and inclusion journey. Some may be just a few steps into their journey, while others are further along on their path. We are committed to providing the space, support, and challenge needed for everyone to learn and grow.
